Well, that was a tough one. After some halftime adjustments, the defense put us in a position to pick up first downs, run the clock and kick a field goal for the win with no time remaining. We couldn’t pick up enough first downs.

After a poor punt, the Hawgs’ offense does what it’s designed to do: fly down the field. Huh. What do you know. Pigs can fly. One blown coverage (again) later, Arkansas scores a touchdown with five seconds remaining.

And yet, we still had a shot. Aaron Murray launches a 65-yard bomb which careens off a defender’s hands and falls to the ground just out of reach of Dawgs’ receiver, #15 Marlon Brown’s hands (local Memphis kid, by the way, Harding Academy). Game over. Dawgs are 0-2 in the SEC for the first time in Coach Mark Richt’s tenure.

This is going to be a long week. And possibly a long season. But we might still turn it around.

I'm really not that clever.
