Night of the Dawg

Big night for the Dawgs last night as we picked up a number of commitments from some big time recruits during Dawg Night. First up, one of the top recruits in the nation, offensive lineman John Theus. His brother, Nathan, committed to us last year at this event and there were strong indications that John might follow suit this year. This is a huge pickup for us at a position of great need in the 2012 class.

Next up, 2013 right-handed, left-footed quarterback prospect out of Camden County, Brice Ramsey, who had this to say:

“It feels great committing to the in-state school. I have no doubts about it. It is where my heart was the whole time.”

I really like the way he slings the ball around:

Along with Ramsey come fellow “Fab 3” 2013 prospects, wide receiver Tramel Terry, from Goose Creek, South Carolina and running back Derrick Henry, out of Yulee, Florida:

And if that wasn’t enough, we even picked up a commitment from a 2014 running back prospect out of Apalachee in Bethlehem, Georgia, Stanley Williams. Here’s a picture of him running the ball against my old high school, Clarke Central:

This was a big night for the Dawgs and we need to keep this thing rolling. Come September and the start of the season, I want to see UN Resolutions passed after we destroy our opponents on the field. I want to see Sally Struthers making infomercials trying to raise money for our foes after the Dawgs have been through town. I’m ready for some payback.
