Sturdivant’s return

Just saw the news about Trinton Sturdivant possibly coming back for a sixth year after suffering through three devastating knee injuries. Trinton states that he’s lost quite a lot of weight (almost a 100 lbs) and would like to try his hand at tight end:

Sturdivant is confident he can successfully make the move after seeing some reps at tight end during his days at Anson High School in Wadesboro, N.C.

He also acknowledges the Dawgs depth at the tight end position but is willing to compete if given the chance. Honestly, I like the idea of Trinton having another shot. He’s played well for us when he’s been healthy and let’s not forget that the former large-but-now-just-big man is quite light on his feet:

Best of luck to a Damn Good Dawg!

  1. I don’t care what position he comes back at but I would love for his sake for him to be able to come back and play some meaningful snaps, even as a backup, then walk off the field under his own power in his last game. He is a DGD and has a lot of fight in him to keep coming back after being kicked in the gut time after time.
