Playing time for Jay Rome

Jay came in during the final moments of our season opener, a 62-49 victory over the Wofford Terriers last night. Not to be outdone by the play of the Dream Team freshmen on the football team, Coach Fox’s young guys, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Nemanja Djurisic both had big games while senior Dustin Ware seems to be picking up where he left off last year, draining several big time threes. We’ve got some work to do, namely more consistency in our shooting as well as rebounding. But we’re off to a nice start and I’m excited to see this team grow as the season goes along.

The women’s team also won their opener, 83-60 against TCU, with junior transfer Anne Marie Armstrong shooting a career high 22 points.

How ’bout them Dawgs!
