UGA’s athletic site has multiple videos up, including Coach Richt’s press conference following this morning’s scrimmage as well as player interviews. Coach Richt goes over the day’s stats, explaining the numbers and noting that Boo and Carlton Thomas evidently lined up with the number 2 offense against the number 1 defense and their numbers reflected this. He went on to mention that Richard Samuel had a fumble, which was recovered by Amarlo Herrera who “scampered” 65 yards for a touchdown. Other topics include the Jarvis Jones decision, Isaiah Crowell and pass protection as well as praise for Alec Ogletree and Shawn Williams.

The players all mentioned one thing: the heat and how much it affected them during the first half of scrimmage. But they also mentioned coming out strong for the second half. Granted, this is the first scrimmage of camp and the numbers probably don’t indicate much. But it’s good to read that our players are being productive in general and coming out with a good attitude and intensity.
